Which airlines companies sponsor Green Card visas in Nevada?
Carriers with significant operations at Harry Reid International Airport, including Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, and Allegiant Air, which is headquartered in Las Vegas, have histories of PERM labor certification filings for Nevada-based roles. Aviation ground services contractors and airline maintenance, repair, and overhaul facilities operating at the airport also appear in DOL disclosure data as Green Card sponsors for technical and operations positions.
Which cities in Nevada have the most airlines Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Las Vegas accounts for the large majority of Nevada's airlines Green Card activity, driven by the scale of Harry Reid International Airport and its surrounding aviation ecosystem. Reno-Tahoe International Airport represents a secondary concentration, with several regional carriers and cargo operators maintaining bases there. Outside these two metros, airlines Green Card sponsorship in Nevada is rare given the limited commercial aviation infrastructure elsewhere in the state.
What types of airlines roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Nevada?
Roles that consistently appear in PERM filings for Nevada airlines employers include aircraft and avionics mechanics, airline operations managers, load planners, and ground equipment technicians. Flight dispatchers and crew scheduling specialists with specialized certifications also qualify. Positions requiring FAA certification or specialized avionics training are among the most commonly sponsored because employers document difficulty finding qualified U.S. workers, which is a requirement of the PERM process.
How do I find airlines Green Card sponsorship jobs in Nevada?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, you can filter by visa type, industry, and state to surface airlines roles in Nevada where employers have active or historical Green Card sponsorship activity drawn from DOL labor certification data. Because PERM filings are public record, Migrate Mate's data reflects real employer sponsorship patterns rather than self-reported job descriptions, which makes it more reliable for identifying genuine Green Card sponsors in Nevada's airlines sector.
Are there any Nevada-specific or industry-specific considerations for airlines Green Card sponsorship?
Nevada has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons when assessing whether an offer meets DOL prevailing wage requirements under PERM. Airlines roles involving safety-sensitive duties are also subject to FAA drug and alcohol testing programs regardless of immigration status, and employers must document this compliance separately from the PERM process. Candidates should verify that any sponsoring employer holds the appropriate FAA operating certificates for the specific role before accepting an offer.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card airlines jobs in Nevada?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
