Which companies sponsor visas for engineering project managers in New Hampshire?
BAE Systems in Nashua is one of the most consistent sponsors for engineering project managers in New Hampshire, given its large defense and electronics operations. Benchmark Electronics, DEKA Research, and firms in the Nashua-Manchester technology corridor also have histories of H-1B sponsorship for project management roles. Biotech and semiconductor employers in southern New Hampshire round out the sponsorship pool for this role.
Which visa types are most common for engineering project manager roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for engineering project managers in New Hampshire. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation because employers generally require at least a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1B or TN status through a Canadian or Mexican employer may also transition into engineering project manager roles without entering the H-1B lottery.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most engineering project manager sponsorship jobs?
Nashua and Manchester together account for the large majority of engineering project manager visa sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Nashua's dense concentration of defense contractors and electronics manufacturers drives consistent demand, while Manchester attracts technology and advanced manufacturing employers. Concord and the Seacoast region around Portsmouth have smaller but active hiring markets, particularly in government contracting and energy engineering.
How to find engineering project manager visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find engineering project manager visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire, as its job board filters specifically for roles where employers have confirmed sponsorship intent. Searching by the engineering project manager role and filtering to New Hampshire surfaces positions from defense, semiconductor, and manufacturing employers in Nashua and Manchester. Migrate Mate removes the guesswork of identifying which postings will actually support a visa application.
Are there state-specific considerations for engineering project managers pursuing visa sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire's engineering project manager market is heavily shaped by federal defense contracting, which means many roles require security clearance eligibility. Non-U.S. citizens on work visas can hold certain clearance levels, but the process is lengthier and not all employers will pursue it for sponsored candidates. The state's proximity to Boston also means some employers maintain operations in both markets, giving sponsored candidates flexibility in project assignment locations.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored engineering project manager jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
