Which companies sponsor visas for account project managers in New York?
Large employers with consistent H-1B sponsorship records for account and project management roles in New York include Accenture, IBM, Publicis Groupe, Deloitte, and Salesforce. Major advertising holding companies headquartered in Manhattan, including WPP and Omnicom, have also filed LCAs for account-facing project management positions. Sponsorship activity is most concentrated among companies with dedicated immigration programs and high-volume professional services hiring.
Which visa types are most common for account project manager roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa for account project managers in New York, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, marketing, or communications. The L-1B and L-1A are alternatives for candidates transferring within a multinational company. Australian citizens may qualify for the E-3, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under the TN category, depending on job duties.
How to find account project manager visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, making it straightforward to browse account project manager roles in New York where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor. Rather than sorting through general job boards where sponsorship information is inconsistent, Migrate Mate surfaces positions relevant to international candidates. Filtering by New York and the account project manager category gives you a focused list of active opportunities.
Which cities in New York have the most account project manager sponsorship jobs?
New York City, specifically Manhattan, accounts for the overwhelming majority of account project manager sponsorship opportunities in the state. The density of advertising agencies, financial institutions, consulting firms, and technology companies in Midtown and Lower Manhattan drives that concentration. Buffalo and Albany have smaller hiring volumes, primarily through healthcare systems and state government contractors, but sponsorship activity in those markets is considerably less common.
Are there any state-specific considerations for account project managers pursuing sponsorship in New York?
New York's Department of Labor enforces prevailing wage requirements that employers must meet when filing a Labor Condition Application for H-1B positions, and those wage floors are generally higher in the New York City metro area than in other parts of the state. The city's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and global agency offices means many employers already have established immigration counsel and internal sponsorship processes, which can simplify the petition experience for candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored account project manager jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
