Which companies sponsor visas for account project managers in Texas?
Technology and consulting firms lead sponsorship activity for account project managers in Texas. Companies including Dell Technologies, Accenture, Infosys, Cognizant, and IBM have documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for project management roles in the state. Energy sector employers in Houston, such as Schlumberger and Halliburton, also sponsor international hires into client-facing project management positions.
Which visa types are most common for account project manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for account project managers in Texas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, which satisfies the specialty occupation standard. L-1B visas are also used when candidates transfer from an overseas office of a multinational employer into a Texas-based account or project management position.
Which cities in Texas have the most account project manager sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth has the highest concentration of account project manager sponsorship jobs in Texas, driven by its large technology, telecommunications, and professional services sectors. Houston follows, with demand from energy, healthcare, and engineering firms. Austin's growing technology industry has also expanded sponsorship opportunities, particularly at software and SaaS companies headquartered or expanding there.
How to find account project manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters account project manager roles in Texas by visa sponsorship availability, saving significant time compared to searching general job boards. You can browse active Texas listings, review which employers have sponsorship history, and focus your applications on companies already set up to support H-1B and other work visa petitions for this role type.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for account project managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since DOL wage determinations are based on gross compensation. Dallas, Houston, and Austin each fall under different wage regions, so prevailing wage levels for account project manager roles vary by city. Texas also benefits from large university pipelines, with schools like UT Austin and Texas A&M producing internationally recruited business and management graduates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored account project manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
