- Serve as the primary technical liaison between EHS stakeholders, SaaS vendors, and IT teams to manage incidents, enhancements, audits, and platform roadmap evolution.
- Design, build, and support business-critical web and Power Platform solutions aligned with Lam enterprise architecture and engineering standards.
- Design and deliver integrations between internal Lam systems and third-party applications using REST APIs, approved connectors, and enterprise data services.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve developer productivity and code quality, while ensuring adherence to Lam secure SDLC, code review, and testing standards.
- Own DevOps and release execution, including CI/CD pipelines, solution packaging, deployments, cutovers, and troubleshooting build, dependency, and environment issues.
- Configure, secure, and audit platform environments, including roles, permissions, service accounts, and access controls, to ensure scalable and supportable deployments.
- Provide production support, performance tuning, root cause analysis, and timely delivery of bug fixes and enhancements.
- Maintain technical documentation, solution design artifacts, and source control standards to support long-term maintainability and audit readiness.
- Lead Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, story allocation, and technical backlog prioritization.
- Perform code and design reviews, including review of AI-generated code, to ensure quality, security, and maintainability.
- Mentor developers and consultants supporting the EHS business, establishing reusable patterns, standards, and best practices.
What you'll do (continued)

Which companies sponsor visas for technical leads in Oregon?
Intel is one of Oregon's largest H-1B sponsors and consistently hires technical leads across its Hillsboro semiconductor campuses. Other active sponsors include Nike's global technology division in Beaverton, Salesforce, Daimler Trucks North America, and a range of Portland-based software companies. Oregon Health & Science University also sponsors technical leads in health informatics and research technology roles.
Which visa types are most common for technical lead roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for technical leads in Oregon, given that the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field. Candidates with exceptional records in engineering or technology leadership may also qualify for the O-1A. Australians should note the E-3 visa as an alternative to the H-1B cap process.
Which cities in Oregon have the most technical lead sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the majority of technical lead sponsorship activity in Oregon, supported by a dense concentration of software, fintech, and cloud companies. Hillsboro, just west of Portland, is a significant hub due to Intel's large manufacturing and R&D presence. Beaverton adds further volume through Nike's technology operations. Eugene and Corvallis see smaller but consistent hiring tied to University of Oregon and Oregon State University research commercialization.
How to find technical lead visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search technical lead roles in Oregon without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform aggregates openings from employers across Portland, Hillsboro, and Beaverton, covering industries from semiconductor to enterprise software. Filtering by state and role on Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to broad job searches.
Are there state-specific considerations for technical leads pursuing sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B technical lead roles are benchmarked to the Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro metropolitan statistical area, which reflects a competitive regional market. Intel's scale in Washington County means many H-1B filings in Oregon originate from that corridor. Oregon State University and Portland State University also serve as pipelines, with some graduates transitioning from OPT to employer-sponsored status at local tech firms.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical lead jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
