INTRODUCTION
The Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the output of the production process meets/exceeds the established quality standards of our customers. The (QA) Supervisor will also be responsible for the development and implementation of practices and procedures required to strengthen the QA department. The (QA) Supervisor will review our Quality Management System to ensure requirements are met, track quality assurance metrics and KPIs.
FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct oversight, train and mentor, QA multi-shift team members in all aspects of the Quality department procedures, duties, and responsibilities
- Work with customers to build solid relationships based on trust and being a valued business partner
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
- Product Submissions, dimensional, CPK, PPK, PPAP, defect reports, etc.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track corrective actions
- QA department equipment calibration
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Maintain and audit our QMS documentation, ISO9001-2015 and future IATF16949 certifications
- Investigating Root causes for product defects
- Track quality assurance metrics, open defects, and corrective actions
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
COMPETENCIES
- 5 years + of manufacturing QA and supervisory experience, preferably in Injection molding
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance for Automotive Products, PPAP, DFM, and APQP
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, ISO9001, IATF16949 Certifications
- Experience in writing clear/concise procedures, corrective actions, investigations, and action plans
- Utilizing 5-why, 8D, and other troubleshooting methods to identify and provide corrective actions to quality issues both in-house and at the customer level
- Experience in PPAP submission following all automotive guidelines and standards (AIAG)
- Use of Core Tools
- CMM, and other lab instruments
- Internal Audits and Layer Audits
