Which companies sponsor visas for AI program managers in Texas?
Large technology and telecommunications employers in Texas with documented H-1B sponsorship histories include Dell Technologies, AT&T, Texas Instruments, Oracle, and Amazon Web Services, which maintains a significant presence in Austin and Dallas. Defense contractors such as Raytheon and Lockheed Martin also hire AI program managers in Texas, though their sponsorship patterns for international candidates vary by role and clearance requirements.
Which visa types are most common for AI program manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common work visa for AI program managers in Texas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. L-1B visas apply when a candidate transfers from an overseas office of the same employer. Candidates with extraordinary achievement in AI may also qualify for the O-1A category.
Which cities in Texas have the most AI program manager sponsorship jobs?
Austin leads Texas for AI program manager sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of technology companies and startups. Dallas-Fort Worth follows closely, with strong representation from enterprise software, fintech, and telecommunications employers. Houston contributes meaningful volume through energy-technology and healthcare-AI companies investing in digital transformation. San Antonio has a smaller but growing market, with cybersecurity and defense-adjacent employers occasionally posting AI program management positions.
How to find ai program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have indicated openness to visa sponsorship, making it easier to find AI program manager positions in Texas without sorting through listings that exclude international candidates. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant openings in Austin, Dallas, and Houston. Checking employer H-1B disclosure data through the Department of Labor can also confirm which Texas companies have sponsored similar roles historically.
What should AI program managers know about sponsorship considerations specific to Texas?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons that employers must document for H-1B Labor Condition Applications. The Austin and Dallas metro areas are designated as separate prevailing wage regions, so an LCA filed for Austin will reflect different wage levels than one filed for a Dallas suburb. AI program managers at Texas-based companies should also be aware that some employers in the state use third-party consulting arrangements, which can introduce additional compliance scrutiny during H-1B adjudication.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored ai program manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
