Which companies sponsor visas for logistics specialists in Texas?
Amazon, FedEx, XPO Logistics, UPS Supply Chain Solutions, and Ryder System are among the employers in Texas with documented histories of sponsoring work visas for logistics roles. Major retailers like H-E-B and large manufacturers with distribution operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston metros also sponsor logistics specialists, particularly for roles requiring supply chain systems expertise or advanced analytics.
Which visa types are most common for logistics specialist roles in Texas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for logistics specialists in Texas when the role requires a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related field. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying logistics and engineering occupations. Candidates with extraordinary professional achievement may qualify for the O-1 visa. The specific visa depends on the role's degree requirements and the employer's sponsorship capacity.
Which cities in Texas have the most logistics specialist sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads in volume, anchored by major intermodal freight facilities, e-commerce fulfillment centers, and corporate supply chain headquarters. Houston is a close second, driven by petrochemical supply chains, port operations at the Port of Houston, and a dense network of third-party logistics providers. San Antonio and El Paso are growing markets, particularly for cross-border supply chain roles tied to Mexico trade corridors.
How to find logistics specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters logistics specialist jobs in Texas specifically to roles where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor work visas, saving significant research time. You can search by city, filter by logistics sub-specialization, and review employer sponsorship histories. Focusing applications on established freight, retail, and manufacturing employers in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston areas tends to yield the strongest results for international candidates.
Are there state-specific considerations for logistics specialists pursuing visa sponsorship in Texas?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons but does not change federal prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program. Employers must still meet Department of Labor wage standards for the specific logistics specialist role and metro area. Texas also has a strong logistics talent pipeline from universities including Texas A&M and UT Austin, meaning employers are selective and typically favor candidates with specialized supply chain systems experience.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored logistics specialist jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
