Which companies sponsor visas for property managers in Texas?
Large national real estate and property management firms with significant Texas operations have a track record of H-1B sponsorship for property managers. These include CBRE, JLL, Cushman and Wakefield, Greystar, and Lincoln Property Company. Larger institutional owners with in-house management teams are generally more likely to sponsor than smaller regional operators, since they have established HR and legal infrastructure for the process.
Which visa types are most common for property manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for property managers in Texas, but it requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as real estate, business, or finance is typically required. Some candidates with intracompany experience may qualify for an L-1B or L-1A. Property management roles at the portfolio or asset management level tend to meet the specialty occupation standard more consistently than entry-level on-site positions.
Which cities in Texas have the most property manager sponsorship jobs?
Houston and Dallas have the highest concentration of property manager sponsorship opportunities in Texas, driven by large commercial real estate markets and the regional headquarters of national firms. Austin has grown significantly due to rapid population growth and multifamily development. San Antonio also sees steady demand, particularly in multifamily and affordable housing. For corporate asset management and portfolio roles, the Dallas-Fort Worth metro tends to offer the most options.
How to find property manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship roles in the U.S., including property manager positions in Texas. The platform filters jobs by sponsorship willingness, so you are not wading through listings from employers who will not sponsor. Search for property manager roles filtered to Texas, and look for openings at larger firms with established real estate portfolios, since they are the most consistent sponsors in this field.
Are there state-specific considerations for property manager visa sponsorship in Texas?
Texas does not require a state real estate broker license to manage residential properties on behalf of an owner, but many employers expect candidates to hold or pursue a Texas Real Estate Commission license for certain roles. For H-1B purposes, the prevailing wage is determined by the specific metro area and job level, so Dallas, Houston, and Austin positions will each carry different wage benchmarks. Candidates with credentials from U.S. real estate programs or relevant professional designations are viewed more favorably by sponsoring employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored property manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
