Which companies in Utah sponsor visas for cloud software engineers?
Several established and growth-stage tech companies in Utah have a history of sponsoring work visas for cloud software engineers. Adobe's Lehi office, Qualtrics, Pluralsight, and Domo are among the larger employers with cloud engineering teams. Enterprises like Goldman Sachs and eBay, which have significant Utah technology operations, have also filed sponsorships for cloud-focused engineering roles in the state.
What visa types are most common for cloud software engineer roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for cloud software engineers in Utah, given that these roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related field and qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria. Employers in the Silicon Slopes area also sponsor O-1 visas for engineers with demonstrated exceptional ability, and some multinational firms use L-1B visas for specialized knowledge transfers.
Which cities in Utah have the most cloud software engineer visa sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and Lehi generate the largest share of cloud software engineer sponsorship opportunities in Utah. Lehi sits at the heart of the Silicon Slopes corridor and hosts the Utah headquarters of Adobe, Qualtrics, and Pluralsight. Provo, home to Brigham Young University and several SaaS companies, also produces consistent openings. South Jordan and Murray have emerging tech campuses with cloud infrastructure hiring as well.
How to find cloud software engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international engineers seeking visa sponsorship and filters job listings to show only employers who sponsor. For cloud software engineer roles in Utah, you can filter by state and role to surface positions at Silicon Slopes companies like Adobe, Qualtrics, and Pluralsight. Because sponsorship status is often unlisted on general job boards, using Migrate Mate saves significant time and avoids applying to roles where sponsorship isn't available.
Are there any Utah-specific factors cloud software engineers should know about visa sponsorship?
Utah's Silicon Slopes concentration means many sponsoring employers are mid-size SaaS companies rather than large enterprises, which can affect the consistency and speed of H-1B sponsorship processes. The University of Utah and Brigham Young University produce strong local CS pipelines, so sponsored roles tend to require demonstrable cloud platform expertise (AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications and project experience) to stand out. Utah's relatively lower cost of living compared to coastal markets influences prevailing wage benchmarks for LCA filings.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud software engineer jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
