Which companies sponsor visas for network engineers in Washington?
Microsoft, Amazon, and T-Mobile are among the most active sponsors for network engineers in Washington, with consistent H-1B visa filings for roles focused on cloud networking, infrastructure, and systems engineering. Boeing and Expedia also appear in Labor Condition Application records for network-related positions. Networking equipment vendors and managed service providers operating out of Seattle and Bellevue round out the employer pool.
Which visa types are most common for network engineer roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for network engineers in Washington, used by major employers like Microsoft and Amazon for specialty occupation roles requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals working as engineers under USMCA. L-1B intracompany transfers are also used when candidates are relocating from an international office of a U.S. employer headquartered in Washington.
Which cities in Washington have the most network engineer sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and Bellevue together account for the large majority of network engineer sponsorship activity in Washington, anchored by Amazon's headquarters in Seattle and Microsoft's campus in Redmond. Kirkland and Redmond, both in the eastern suburbs of Seattle, also generate consistent sponsorship filings. Tacoma and Spokane have smaller but active employer bases, primarily driven by healthcare systems, utilities, and regional ISPs.
How to find network engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to roles where employers have a documented history of visa sponsorship, making it more efficient than general searches for network engineer positions in Washington. You can browse by state to surface openings at Microsoft, Amazon, T-Mobile, and other Washington-based employers who regularly file H-1B petitions for networking roles. Filtering by role type helps narrow results to network infrastructure, cloud networking, and related specializations.
Are there any Washington-specific factors that affect network engineer sponsorship?
Washington's prevailing wage requirements under Department of Labor rules apply to all H-1B and E-3 visa filings, and Seattle's high cost of living pushes the prevailing wage for network engineers meaningfully above national averages in many job zones. The state's concentration of large tech employers with established immigration programs means many sponsoring companies already have legal infrastructure in place. University of Washington graduates in computer science and electrical engineering form a significant pipeline into sponsored roles at major employers in the state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored network engineer jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
