Which companies sponsor visas for data analytics engineers in Wisconsin?
American Family Insurance, Fiserv, Epic Systems, Northwestern Mutual, and Exact Sciences have appeared in Department of Labor LCA filings for data and engineering roles in Wisconsin. These employers tend to have formal international hiring processes in place. Sponsorship decisions still depend on the specific role, business need, and individual qualifications, so confirming directly with each employer's recruiting team is important.
Which visa types are most common for data analytics engineer roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for data analytics engineers in Wisconsin, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field like computer science, statistics, or information systems. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT may also work while an H-1B petition is pending. Some employers sponsor EB-2 or EB-3 green card pathways for longer-term hires.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most data analytics engineer sponsorship jobs?
Madison and Milwaukee account for the large majority of data analytics engineer roles in Wisconsin. Madison benefits from proximity to the University of Wisconsin and a growing biotech and health IT sector, with employers like Epic Systems and UW Health. Milwaukee is home to financial services and insurance companies, including Fiserv, Northwestern Mutual, and American Family Insurance, all of which have technical hiring needs at scale.
How to find data analytics engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by role and state to see data analytics engineer positions in Wisconsin where employers are open to visa sponsorship. Rather than sorting through general job listings and guessing at sponsorship willingness, Migrate Mate surfaces roles with confirmed or indicated sponsorship, saving significant time for international candidates working against OPT or visa deadlines.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for data analytics engineers seeking sponsorship?
Wisconsin employers must pay H-1B workers the prevailing wage for the relevant occupation and geographic area, as determined by Department of Labor wage levels. For data analytics engineers, Madison and Milwaukee have different prevailing wage benchmarks, with Milwaukee's financial sector roles often carrying higher wage requirements. The University of Wisconsin system also produces a steady pipeline of international STEM graduates who enter the local job market each year, increasing competition for sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data analytics engineer jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
