Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for strategy analysts?
Large Wisconsin employers with documented H-1B sponsorship history for analytical roles include Northwestern Mutual, American Family Insurance, Kohl's Corporation, Fiserv, and Epic Systems. State government agencies and the University of Wisconsin system also hire strategy analysts, though sponsorship availability varies by department. Larger corporate employers with dedicated HR teams are generally better positioned to manage visa sponsorship than smaller regional firms.
Which visa types are most common for strategy analyst roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy analyst roles in Wisconsin, as these positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, finance, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation requirement. Candidates from Canada or Mexico may qualify for TN status under the economist or management consultant category, depending on job duties. O-1 visas are less common but available for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary achievement.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most strategy analyst sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee accounts for the largest share of strategy analyst sponsorship activity in Wisconsin, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and retail headquarters. Madison follows, supported by state government agencies, Epic Systems, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Smaller markets like Green Bay and Waukesha have occasional openings tied to manufacturing and logistics firms, but sponsorship opportunities there are less consistent.
How to find strategy analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify strategy analyst roles in Wisconsin where employers are open to sponsoring international candidates. Rather than sorting through postings that don't address sponsorship at all, you can browse roles already screened for that criteria. Focusing your search on Milwaukee and Madison will surface the highest volume of relevant openings from employers like Northwestern Mutual, Fiserv, and Epic Systems.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for strategy analysts seeking visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B positions are set by the Department of Labor based on the Milwaukee or Madison metropolitan statistical areas, so employers must meet wage thresholds specific to those labor markets. The University of Wisconsin system and Epic Systems have historically maintained strong pipelines for international graduates, particularly from UW-Madison's business and economics programs. Candidates with backgrounds in insurance, financial services, or healthcare IT tend to align well with Wisconsin's dominant employer base.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy analyst jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
