Job Description & Skill Requirement:
Body CAD Engineer
- Develop and release body-in-white and exterior body components using 3D CAD across concept, design, and launch phases.
- Create and maintain detailed CAD models, assemblies, sections, and 2D drawings in line with design standards.
- Support design feasibility studies, packaging assessments, and engineering trade-offs.
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability, quality, and dimensional robustness.
- Collaborate with CAE teams to address crash, durability, NVH, and structural requirements.
- Support engineering changes, design updates, and configuration management in PLM systems.
- Assist with prototype builds, virtual validation, and physical testing support.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Ensure adherence to cost, weight, timing, and quality targets.
