This role involves creating benchtop samples, assisting in formulation of new products, and conducting routine quality and analytical testing. You will also participate in research on on-trend flavors and collaborate with the supply chain team to approve raw materials, capturing crucial findings during commercialization.
Responsibilities
- Create benchtop samples and assist in formulation with new products.
- Conduct routine quality testing.
- Perform analytical testing evaluating salt, viscosity, pH, acid, etc.
- Participate in research on on-trend flavors.
- Collaborate with supply chain team to approve raw materials.
- Capture crucial findings during commercialization.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or related Science.
- 2-4 years of experience in new product development in the food industry, preferably with liquids.
- Knowledge of food principles, including HACCP, GMP, and food allergens.
- HACCP Certification.
- Proficiency in research and development, chemistry, and formulation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree in Food Science is a plus.
Work Environment
The role operates from Monday to Friday, starting at 7:30 am for 8 hours with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. The team consists of one R&D Manager and one consultant, working in a combination of lab and office environment. The position requires the ability to lift 40 pounds.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ontario, CA.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $68000.00/yr. Medical/ Vision/ Dental PPO only, Up to 4% 401k Matching company contribution, Company-paid life insurance, Vacation, Sick Pay, 7 Paid Holidays, Birthday as a paid day off.
