INTRODUCTION
As the Senior Manager of Revenue Operations, you are the implementer and operator of the revenue architecture model. You own the data model (Volume, Conversion, and Time metrics as defined below), the operating cadence (handoffs as commitments at every seam), the closed loops (Renewal, Risk Sharing, Advocacy, ICP Learning, Referrals, Nurturing), and the operating rhythm that makes all of it real.
Why this role matters:
The Senior Manager of Revenue Operations partners with Sales, Marketing, Implementation, Customer Success, Product, Finance, and Data Engineering, helping support revenue systems for our global organization.
In this role:
- You will build and maintain the data infrastructure (Salesforce, marketing automation, product telemetry, billing, customer success, support) to reliably compute and report out.
- You will run a quarterly diagnostic to assess baseline vs. benchmark for every metric, identify gaps, and define operating-model interventions to close them.
- You will establish and operate the six closed loops (Renewal, Risk Sharing, Advocacy, ICP Learning, Referrals, Nurturing) to drive GRR, NRR, expansion, and top-of-funnel efficiency.
- You will establish operating cadence and meeting architecture (weekly, monthly, quarterly) covering pipeline, forecast, QBRs, renewals, advocacy, and ICP diagnostics.
- You will own forecast methodology and revenue predictability across acquisition and post-sale (renewal and expansion), with pipeline health metrics tied to conversion rates, velocity, and stage-specific benchmarks.
- You will provide leadership with a unified commercial forecast and clear diagnostics on underperforming stages or conversion rates and the interventions required to close gaps.
- You will drive cross-functional execution with Sales, Marketing, Implementation, Customer Success, Expansion, Product, and Finance, aligning each function.
- You will own systems and tooling integrity.
- You will deliver insight and strategic input by producing a single executive view, surfacing wins and losses, identifying areas for improvement, and translating data into clear actions and operating-model improvements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, GTM Operations, or commercial strategy roles in B2B SaaS, with at least 4 of those years operating against a full-funnel framework
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or related field
- Demonstrated experience standing up or operating a recurring-revenue commercial model end-to-end (acquisition, retention, and expansion under one architecture)
- Direct experience with Revenue Architecture frameworks or equivalent operating models
- Strong fluency with Salesforce, marketing automation (HubSpot or equivalent), and customer success platforms; experience configuring CRM architecture to reflect a defined revenue model
- Comfort building, defending, and operating against conversion math, retention math, and forecast methodology
- Demonstrated ability to operate across functions: Sales, Marketing, Implementation, Customer Success, Product, Finance
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with veterinary, animal health, or similar preferred

Align your degree to the role
Revenue management is a specialty occupation, but only when your degree field matches. Finance, economics, accounting, or business administration degrees satisfy USCIS requirements. A general studies degree without relevant coursework can complicate your employer's I-129 petition significantly.
Target industries with established sponsorship history
Hospitality chains, SaaS companies, and hospital systems sponsor Revenue Manager roles most consistently. These industries have mature HR and immigration processes, meaning fewer delays and fewer employers surprised by the cost and complexity of H-1B sponsorship for this position.
Understand the H-1B lottery timing
H-1B registrations open in March for an October start date. If you're on OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility and expiration date before applying. A six-month gap between OPT expiration and H-1B start can disrupt employment legally and practically.
Highlight revenue impact with specific metrics
Sponsoring employers justify specialty occupation status partly through job complexity. Quantified achievements, such as forecasting accuracy rates, RevPAR improvements, or ARR growth percentages, demonstrate the analytical depth USCIS expects for this role versus a general management position.
Ask about PERM sponsorship timelines early
PERM labor certification for Revenue Manager roles currently takes 12 to 18 months at the Department of Labor. If a green card is your long-term goal, raise this in the offer negotiation stage so your employer can start the process without unnecessary delays.
Australians should evaluate the E-3 visa first
Australian citizens can bypass the H-1B lottery entirely using the E-3 visa, which has a 10,500 annual cap that has never been fully used. Revenue Manager roles in specialty occupation categories qualify, and E-3 processing through a U.S. consulate typically takes two to four weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Manager of Revenue role qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Yes, Revenue Manager roles typically qualify as H-1B visa specialty occupations when they require a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as finance, economics, or business administration. USCIS looks at whether the role normally requires a degree, not just whether your employer prefers one. Job postings that list a degree as preferred rather than required can weaken the petition, so confirming your employer's job description language before they file matters.
Which visa types are available for sponsored Revenue Manager positions?
H-1B is the most common pathway, subject to the annual lottery and an October 1 start date. Australian citizens can apply for the E-3 visa, which skips the lottery and allows consular processing in two to four weeks. Candidates with documented extraordinary achievement in revenue optimization may qualify for the O-1A. PERM-based green card sponsorship is available for longer-term candidates once they hold H-1B status.
What degree do I need for an employer to sponsor my Revenue Manager visa?
USCIS requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a field directly related to revenue management for the role to qualify as a specialty occupation. Finance, economics, accounting, hospitality management, and business administration all satisfy this requirement. If your degree is in an unrelated field, you can substitute three years of progressive work experience for each year of missing education, though this path requires stronger documentation and is harder to defend in an RFE.
How do I find Revenue Manager jobs that offer visa sponsorship?
Most general job boards don't filter roles by visa sponsorship willingness, which wastes time when you're on a visa deadline. Migrate Mate is built specifically for candidates who need sponsorship, letting you browse Revenue Manager roles from employers who have already sponsored visas. Filtering by industry, such as hospitality or SaaS, within Migrate Mate helps identify employers with a demonstrated history of sponsoring this job category.
Can a Revenue Manager role lead to a green card through employer sponsorship?
Yes. Revenue Manager positions typically qualify for employment-based green cards under the EB-3 category, and occasionally EB-2 if the role requires an advanced degree or the candidate can demonstrate exceptional ability. The employer must complete PERM labor certification first, which currently takes 12 to 18 months at the Department of Labor. Large hospitality groups and enterprise SaaS companies are the most experienced sponsors for this green card pathway.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Manager Of Revenue jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
