Job Description
Evergreen Innovation Group, part of the DPR Family of Companies, seeking for a motivated and skilled Welder to join our team at Atlanta, GA. Welder will complete MIG welding tasks environment includes minimal cutting and material prep, digital blueprint reading, preferred welding jigs, tables, and equipment as well as a great team environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assemble materials to build wall and floor panels using framing tables, jigs, clamps and other tools.
- Weld to various structural job specific detail requirements. Typical material includes 10 to 20-gauge galvanized steel.
- Work under area leads and shop manager to carry out various tasks throughout the fabrication plant.
- Work with quality control, leads and peers to ensure the highest quality and understanding of maintaining a quality product.
- Work under direction to make structural repairs as needed to parts.
- Achieve production goals set while meeting all quality expectations.
- Continual training as needed to improve welding and assembly procedures.
- Help create and maintain a positive, respectful and productive team, area and company.
- Shop maintenance and cleaning as needed and instructed.
- Maintain and provide a clean and organized work environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime to meet production schedules.
- Crosstrain and assist in various areas and job functions outside of welding.
- MIG welder is responsible for joining metal components using the MIG/GMAW process.
- MIG welding, and ARC welding process
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 3+ years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lb. items including ability to lift overhead.
- General background of power and hand tools such as drills, grinders, chop saws and general construction tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime when needed.
- Ability to quickly read a tape measure down to 1/16”.
- Ability to follow directions, ask appropriate questions and show a desire to learn.
Education and Experience
- Construction Experience (prefer)
- OSHA 10 (prefer)
- OSHA 30 (plus)
