Accounting Analyst Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a accounting analyst job in Los Angeles?
The strongest path into Los Angeles accounting analyst roles is targeting the industries that dominate local hiring: entertainment and media, commercial real estate, healthcare systems, and financial services firms headquartered Downtown or in Century City. Candidates who know GAAP fundamentals and can work with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle stand out. Networking through local CPA society events and targeting mid-size firms in the South Bay or San Fernando Valley also opens doors that large-company postings often don't.
Which companies hire accounting analysts in Los Angeles?
Los Angeles accounting analyst roles are posted by BNY, ghj, and Jobot and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. The local employer base runs from major entertainment studios and hospital networks to publicly traded real estate investment trusts and regional banks, all of which maintain in-house accounting teams.
Are there remote accounting analyst jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though availability depends on the role: analytical and reporting-focused accounting analyst positions are far more remote-friendly than those tied to physical inventory, cash handling, or on-site audit work. About 21% of accounting analyst openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common among financial services and tech-adjacent employers in the Westside and downtown corridors.
How can I get a accounting analyst job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is landing an accounts payable or accounts receivable associate role at a mid-size company, then moving into an analyst title once you have a year of close-cycle experience. Entertainment production companies, healthcare billing departments, and commercial real estate firms in Los Angeles frequently hire entry-level accounting staff and promote from within. A degree in accounting or finance, even without work experience, is enough to clear most screening filters for junior analyst postings.
Which industries hire the most accounting analysts in Los Angeles?
Most accounting analyst openings in Los Angeles sit in Investment & Asset Management, Staffing & Recruiting, and Technology & Software, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Los Angeles's outsized entertainment industry, dense healthcare network, and concentration of commercial real estate operators all require dedicated accounting teams, making the city's demand for this role broader than most metro areas of comparable size.
