Accounting Manager Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a accounting manager job in Atlanta?
Focus your search on Atlanta's heaviest hiring sectors: financial services firms in Buckhead, hospital systems and health tech companies along the I-285 corridor, and the large logistics and distribution operators based near Hartsfield-Jackson. Candidates who combine CPA credentials with ERP system experience, particularly in SAP or Oracle, stand out in this market. Targeting mid-size firms headquartered locally often yields faster results than chasing the Fortune 500 names.
Which companies hire accounting managers in Atlanta?
Employers hiring accounting managers in Atlanta right now include RSM, Motion, and CRH, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Atlanta's mix of major corporate headquarters, regional bank offices, and fast-growing healthcare systems means openings appear across a wide range of employer sizes and ownership structures.
Are there remote accounting manager jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though remote availability depends on the role: analytical and reporting-focused positions are more likely to be remote or hybrid, while jobs tied to month-end close oversight or managing on-site teams tend to require in-office presence. About 85% of accounting manager openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Technology and professional services firms in Midtown and Buckhead offer the highest share of flexible arrangements.
How can I get a accounting manager job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic path in Atlanta is moving up from a senior accountant or accounting supervisor role at one of the city's mid-size companies, where promotion timelines are shorter than at large corporations. Healthcare systems such as Grady Health and regional community banks frequently post internal advancement opportunities. Gaining hands-on close cycle ownership and leading at least one direct report on your current team makes you a credible candidate for that first manager title here.
Which industries hire the most accounting managers in Atlanta?
Most accounting manager openings in Atlanta sit in Fintech, Insurance, and Accounting & Auditing, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Atlanta's role as a regional headquarters hub for banking, hospital networks, and supply chain operations means these sectors consistently generate the highest volume of local accounting management roles.
