Many employers also expect candidates to hold or be pursuing a CPA license, issued through the Georgia State Board of Accountancy, which requires completing the Uniform CPA Examination, meeting Georgia's education requirements, and obtaining qualifying work experience. Entry-level candidates often start in staff accountant or accounts payable roles before moving into corporate accounting.
How much do corporate accountants make in Georgia?
Corporate accountants in Georgia earn a median of about $81,900 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $51,830 for the lowest 10% to over $145,960 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire corporate accountants in Georgia?
Employers hiring corporate accountants in Georgia right now include Arclin, Motion, and Jobot, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, regional financial institutions, and large healthcare systems means consistent demand across a range of industries and company sizes.
Which Georgia cities have the most corporate accountant jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Duluth lead Georgia in corporate accountant openings. Atlanta dominates because it hosts the headquarters and regional offices of major corporations across financial services, logistics, and consumer goods, while Alpharetta and Dunwoody have grown into significant suburban finance hubs, and Savannah's expanding port economy has created steady demand among manufacturing and distribution companies that need dedicated corporate finance teams.

Yes, and more than most fields. About 50% of corporate accountant openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on financial analysis, reporting, and system-based reconciliation rather than on-site physical tasks. The most realistic entry path is a staff accountant or accounts payable associate role, which large Georgia employers in healthcare systems like Piedmont Healthcare and Emory Healthcare, as well as corporate shared services centers concentrated in Alpharetta and Buckhead, hire for regularly.
