Entry Level Architectural Engineer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level architectural engineer job?
Start by building a portfolio that shows drafting work, software proficiency in tools like AutoCAD or Revit, and any studio or internship projects. Employers at this level prioritize candidates who can demonstrate technical skills and follow a set of construction documents from start to finish. Internship experience, even a single semester, signals you can function in a professional office environment before day one.
Which companies hire entry level architectural engineers?
Companies hiring entry level architectural engineers right now include Guardian Industries, Stantec, and Apple, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of architecture and engineering firms, construction management companies, and government agencies looking to build out their junior technical staff.
Are there remote entry level architectural engineer jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid arrangements are far more common at this stage given the hands-on nature of the work. About 25% of entry level architectural engineer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates open to in-person roles will see a broader set of opportunities at the start of their career.
Are these new grad architectural engineer jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with little or no professional experience. A new grad-friendly posting typically accepts zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-ops toward the requirement, and considers a strong academic portfolio in place of a full employment history.
Which industries hire the most entry level architectural engineers?
Entry Level architectural engineer roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Manufacturing, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they rely on a steady pipeline of junior talent to support project teams, produce construction documents, and assist licensed engineers and architects on active builds.
