Assistant Construction Manager Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an assistant construction manager job in Dallas?
Focus on Dallas's active sectors: commercial real estate development along the Uptown and Victory Park corridors, large-scale multifamily projects in Deep Ellum and Oak Cliff, and public infrastructure work tied to DART and city contracts. General contractors and regional developers drive most of the hiring. Candidates with subcontractor coordination experience, Procore or Bluebeam proficiency, and familiarity with Texas commercial building codes stand out in this market.
Which companies hire assistant construction managers in Dallas?
Companies currently hiring assistant construction managers in Dallas include HITT Contracting, Burns & McDonnell, and Rogers, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Dallas's market includes a mix of large national general contractors with regional offices and locally headquartered developers focused on commercial, mixed-use, and industrial projects.
Are there remote assistant construction manager jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though remote work is limited by nature for this hands-on role. About 0% of assistant construction manager openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, typically covering hybrid schedules for administrative and reporting responsibilities. In Dallas, the most remote-compatible tasks include submittal tracking, RFI management, and project documentation, while site oversight stays on-location.
How can I get an assistant construction manager job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is through construction coordinator or project engineer roles at regional general contractors operating in the Uptown, Frisco, or Fort Worth growth corridors. Dallas's volume of multifamily and mixed-use developments creates steady demand for entry-level site support. Internships with Dallas-based developers, familiarity with Procore, and any direct site observation experience give entry-level candidates a concrete edge over those with classroom credentials alone.
