Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Department of Surgery in the School of Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana is seeking a BE/BC (or equivalent) plastic surgeon for an academic faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Academic rank and track will be determined based on qualifications, experience and stature in the field. Responsibilities include clinical care, research and teaching in plastic surgery. Clinical activities will be primarily centered at University Medical Center - New Orleans, a full service, regional facility. There are leadership opportunities within the department and within the clinical facility for candidates with leadership experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: MD or equivalent
Other Education if applicable: Completion of plastic surgery residency training prior to hire date
Certifications or Licenses Required: BC/BE (or equivalent) surgeon; must be licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana and credentialed with all required entities before date of hire
