Job Description
We are seeking an litigation attorney to join Trek’s legal team. This role will manage the company's litigation matters across a range of practice areas, working closely with internal business partners and outside counsel.
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct a range of litigation matters, including product and premises liability, employment, and general civil and class action litigation
- Supervise litigation strategy, budgets, and case timelines
- Participate in all aspects of case management, including responding to pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing witnesses, and attending trial
- Conduct internal investigations and fact-finding in connection with disputes and pre-litigation matters
- Draft and review settlement agreements and other litigation-related documents
- Oversee regulatory inquiries and government investigations as needed
- Advise on risk-mitigation strategies and initiatives
- Other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in Wisconsin
- 2+ years of litigation experience, either at a law firm or in-house
- Experience with product liability and employment matters strongly preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple matters simultaneously, and collaborate with different business units
- Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets
Preferred
Familiarity with cycling industry products, safety standards, or CPSC regulatory matters
