Pay Range: $95,000 - $135,000
Job Summary:
The Azure Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and support of Azure-based cloud infrastructure and services. This role will focus on delivering scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions while partnering across IT teams to modernize infrastructure, improve performance, and ensure operational excellence.
The individual in this position will be responsible for engineering cloud environments, maintaining governance standards, and providing Tier 3 support for Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security. This includes architecting and optimizing cloud solutions that align with business objectives and long-term IT strategy.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Results Area:
Azure Cloud Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure services including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, and Storage Accounts. Ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance across all cloud-hosted systems.
Cloud Architecture & Engineering: Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices. Evaluate current systems and recommend cloud-native or hybrid solutions that align with organizational objectives and cost optimization strategies.
Identity, Security & Governance: Implement and manage Azure Active Directory (AAD), role-based access control (RBAC), and security policies. Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards through monitoring, auditing, and enforcement of governance frameworks.
Monitoring, Automation & Optimization: Leverage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and automation tools such as PowerShell and ARM/Bicep templates to streamline operations. Identify and implement opportunities for automation, cost optimization, and proactive system health monitoring.
Cloud Integration & DevOps Enablement: Collaborate with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments in Azure. Assist with integration of cloud services into enterprise systems and workflows.
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Design and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery strategies leveraging Azure-native tools. Ensure systems are resilient and recoverable in accordance with organizational requirements.
Support & Incident Management: Provide Tier 3 support for Azure environments, responding to incidents and service disruptions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to resolve complex technical issues.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science OR equivalent experience
- Preferred 5–8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud platforms
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305) preferred
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python) and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Familiarity with networking, security, and hybrid cloud environments
