BI Analyst Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a bi analyst job in Chicago?
Target Chicago's Loop and River North financial district first, where banks, insurance firms, and trading companies post the most bi analyst openings. Healthcare networks and logistics companies on the North Shore and near O'Hare are also active. Candidates who can work with SQL, Tableau, or Power BI and who show dashboard work in a portfolio stand out most in Chicago's data-heavy market.
Which companies hire bi analysts in Chicago?
Chicago bi analyst roles are posted by CSL Plasma, RSM, and SAVANT and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Chicago's mix of large financial institutions, major healthcare systems, and global logistics firms means hiring comes from both enterprise employers and fast-growing mid-size companies across the metro.
Are there remote bi analyst jobs in Chicago?
Yes, bi analyst work is well-suited to remote arrangements since the role centers on querying data, building reports, and presenting findings rather than on-site operations. About 83% of bi analyst openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly Chicago employers have adopted flexible work. Reporting and dashboard-building tasks are most commonly performed remotely.
How can I get a bi analyst job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is through a junior data analyst or reporting analyst role at one of the city's mid-size healthcare systems, regional banks, or insurance companies, which tend to hire entry-level analysts more actively than large enterprises. Building a portfolio with SQL queries and Tableau dashboards using public Chicago data sets, such as city transit or public health records, gives you a concrete local angle. Staffing firms with a Chicago loop presence also place contract-to-hire analysts regularly.
Which industries hire the most bi analysts in Chicago?
Chicago bi analyst roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Consulting & Professional Services, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026.
