Entry Level Business Consultant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level business consultant job?
Focus on demonstrating analytical thinking and problem-solving skills even if your experience is limited. Employers at this level look for candidates who can interpret data, communicate findings clearly, and work well in teams. Internship experience, case competition results, or a capstone project that shows real business impact can give you a genuine edge over candidates with a longer but less focused resume.
Which companies hire entry level business consultants?
Companies hiring entry level business consultants right now include CVS Health, Protiviti, and Utah State University, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including large consulting firms with formal analyst programs, mid-size strategy shops, and corporations building in-house consulting teams.
Are there remote entry level business consultant jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles are still common at this level. About 65% of entry level business consultant openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, so remote options exist but competition for them can be higher since they draw applicants from across the country.
Are these new grad business consultant jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates or candidates with zero to two years of experience. A new grad-friendly posting typically accepts internship experience or a strong academic project in place of full-time work history, and some will consider a well-presented portfolio as evidence of readiness.
Which industries hire the most entry level business consultants?
Entry Level business consultant roles concentrate in Insurance, Technology & Software, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they rely heavily on process improvement, market analysis, and operational projects that are well-suited to junior consultants building their foundational skills.
