Key Duties and Responsibilities
Revenue Strategy & Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive revenue-generation and overall attendance strategies across all sports with a primary focus on team sports that compete on campus during the regular season.
- Establish and achieve ambitious annual targets for ticket sales, corporate partnerships, premium seating, and ancillary revenue streams.
- Utilize data analytics and market research to identify new revenue opportunities, including NIL partnerships, digital content monetization, and experiential marketing.
- Provide regular revenue forecasting, performance analysis, and strategic reporting to the Athletic Director.
Ticketing Leadership & Attendance Growth
- Provide strategic oversight and direct supervision of the ticketing operations staff, focusing on high-level sales and attendance strategies and inventory management.
- Develop and execute aggressive season ticket, group sales, mini-plan and individual campaigns designed to maximize venue capacity.
- Implement dynamic pricing models and retention strategies to optimize revenue and improve year-over-year fan loyalty.
- Take ultimate accountability for attendance metrics, using promotions and sales tactics to ensure a vibrant home-court advantage.
Fan Experience & Game Atmosphere Production
- Provide direct oversight and strategic direction to the Director of Marketing & Promotions and their staff (Assistant Director, GAs, interns and volunteers).
- Own the "game-day product" by approving all in-game creative, music, PA scripts, video board content, and promotional activations.
- Coordinate and lead game-day stakeholders, including the Pep Band, Cheer/Dance squads, and third-party game staff, to ensure a high-energy, professional atmosphere.
- Design and execute innovative theme nights, giveaways, and halftime entertainment that drive ticket sales, student attendance, and enhance fan satisfaction.
Corporate Partnerships & Premium Sales
- Serve as the primary lead for prospecting, cultivating, and closing new corporate partnership agreements.
- Manage existing partner relationships, ensuring 100% contract fulfillment and identifying opportunities for upsells and multi-year renewals.
- Develop and sell premium seating products and hospitality experiences, working closely with development staff to align these with major gift initiatives.
- Coordinate sponsorship activation strategies across venue signage, digital platforms, and in-game promotions to deliver maximum value to partners.
Strategic Collaboration & Brand Alignment
- Function as the primary liaison to the Assistant AD for Communications & Brand Development to ensure promotional campaigns align with overall brand standards.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to coordinate the creation of graphics, video content, and social media amplification for revenue-generating initiatives.
- Partner with facility operations to optimize venue presentation, signage, and fan amenities that support revenue goals.
- Represent the athletic department at community and business events (Chamber of Commerce, etc.) to build external relationships and institutional visibility and coordinate appearances by coaches, A.D., student athletes in an effort to grow fan, alumni, community and sponsor affinity for Lipscomb Athletics.
Entrepreneurial Leadership
- Maintain a "start-up" mindset, demonstrating a willingness to take on unfamiliar tasks and pilot new technologies to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing external staff, fostering a culture of innovation, extreme accountability, and professional excellence.
- Ensure all revenue and promotional activities remain in strict compliance with NCAA, Atlantic Sun Conference, and institutional policies.
Sport and Game Administration
- Sport Administration - Depending on the candidate's experience, Sport Administrator duties may or may not be included in this role initially. If Sport Administrator duties are not included initially, this role would be expected to take them on in the future as interest and aptitude dictate.
- Game Administration - Position will be expected, in conjunction with other members of the Lipscomb Athletics staff doing the same, to assume game administrator duties at a number of different games and events, day/night/weekday/weekend, throughout the school year.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years in an athletics environment or the equivalent.
