The Process Excellence team helps clients improve how work gets done across core enterprise processes by combining process design, process mining, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled / agentic approaches to drive measurable business outcomes. The work is practical and value-focused: identifying inefficiencies, surfacing root causes through data, redesigning workflows, improving control and performance, and building roadmaps that translate operational pain points into real transformation. It is a strong fit for people who like solving complex business problems in a structured, evidence-based way and who can connect AI, intelligent automation, and process insight to broader enterprise transformation.

How do you become a business process consultant in New York?
Most business process consultants in New York enter the field with a bachelor's degree in business, industrial engineering, information systems, or a closely related discipline. New York has no state-issued license for this role, so employers focus on professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or Certified Business Analysis Professional credentials. Building experience through analyst or operations roles at a New York firm or consultancy, then moving into a dedicated process improvement position, is the most common path.
How much do business process consultants make in New York?
Business process consultants in New York earn a median of about $112,250 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $64,900 for the lowest 10% to over $209,440 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business process consultants in New York?
Employers hiring business process consultants in New York right now include Capgemini, Bloomberg, and EY, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's dense concentration of financial institutions, healthcare networks, and global consulting firms means demand stays consistent across both large enterprises and mid-sized regional organizations.
Which New York cities have the most business process consultant jobs?
Atlanta and New York are the cities with the most business process consultant openings in New York. New York City dominates due to the sheer volume of financial services firms, management consultancies, and corporate headquarters based in Manhattan and the outer boroughs, while White Plains and Buffalo draw demand from regional healthcare systems, insurance carriers, and manufacturing operations that rely heavily on process optimization teams.
Are there remote business process consultant jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields, since process consulting is largely analytical and documentation-driven work that travels well off-site. About 33% of business process consultant openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how widely firms have normalized flexible arrangements for this role. Phases involving stakeholder interviews and workshop facilitation are most likely to require in-person presence, while mapping, analysis, and reporting work is routinely done remotely.
How can I get hired as a business process consultant in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a junior business analyst or operations analyst role at a New York-based firm, which serves as a direct pipeline into process consulting work. Large New York employers in financial services and healthcare, including major hospital networks and insurance carriers, frequently run associate or rotational analyst programs designed for recent graduates. Earning a Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification before applying gives candidates a concrete, recognized credential that compensates for limited work history.
