Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a cardiovascular interventional technologist in Utah?
You complete an accredited radiologic technology or cardiovascular technology program, then earn ARRT registration with a post-primary certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography. Utah does not issue a separate state cardiovascular interventional license, but hospitals require active ARRT credentials and current BLS and ACLS certification. Most Utah employers also expect clinical training in a cath lab or interventional suite before a candidate is considered for independent practice.
Which companies hire cardiovascular interventional technologists in Utah?
Companies currently hiring cardiovascular interventional technologists in Utah include University of Utah, Intermountain Health, and Voyage Health, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Utah's large integrated health systems drive the most consistent demand, particularly for cath lab and structural heart roles across their Salt Lake City and Utah Valley campuses.
Which Utah cities have the most cardiovascular interventional technologist jobs?
Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Provo are the Utah cities with the most cardiovascular interventional technologist openings. Salt Lake City dominates because of the concentration of academic medical centers and Level I trauma programs there, while Provo and Ogden reflect the strong regional hospital presence of Intermountain Health and other large systems serving those population centers.
Are there remote cardiovascular interventional technologist jobs in Utah?
Yes, but they're rare. Cardiovascular interventional technology is a hands-on clinical role performed inside a cath lab or interventional suite, so the vast majority of positions require on-site presence. About 0% of cardiovascular interventional technologist openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those exceptions typically involve quality review, imaging analysis, or education coordination duties rather than direct patient care.
How can I get hired as a cardiovascular interventional technologist in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is completing your ARRT certification and then applying to clinical residency or new-graduate orientation programs at Intermountain Health or University of Utah Health, both of which offer structured cath lab training tracks for candidates without independent experience. Applicants with backgrounds as radiologic technologists or surgical technologists have the strongest lateral advantage, and earning your ARRT Cardiovascular-Interventional post-primary credential before applying signals readiness to Utah hiring managers even without full cath lab tenure.
Where can I find and apply to cardiovascular interventional technologist jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to cardiovascular interventional technologist jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current Utah openings from hospitals, outpatient centers, and specialty practices across the state. Find roles that fit your credentials and experience level and apply directly from the listing.
