Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our busy and growing retina practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical care to patients, assisting in diagnostic evaluations, and collaborating with physicians to develop effective treatment plans. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and assessments of patients
• Perform pre-operative evaluations as needed
• Administer intravitreal and Sub-Tenon's injections and assist with various medical procedures, including retinal lasers and YAG capsulotomies
• Imiplement infection control protocols to ensure patient safety
• Provide airway management as necessary in the very rare emergency situation
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medical coding for billing purposes
• Participate in clinical research as needed
• Phlebotomize patients for laboratory testing when required
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention

Experience:

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Proven experience in a clinical setting as a Physician Assistant or similar role
• Strong skills in diagnostic evaluation and patient assessment
• Familiarity with infection control practices and protocols
• Experience administering injections and performing triage
• Knowledge of medical coding practices is preferred
• Ability to manage airway effectively during emergencies

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
