Care Assistant Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a care assistant job in Phoenix?
Focus your search on Phoenix's dense senior living corridors in north Phoenix, Scottsdale-adjacent communities, and the Sun City area, where home health agencies and memory care facilities hire year-round. Employers here strongly prefer candidates with CPR certification and any hands-on care experience, even informal or volunteer. Applying directly to skilled nursing facilities and assisted living chains that operate multiple Phoenix locations gives you the best odds of a fast callback.
Which companies hire care assistants in Phoenix?
Companies currently hiring care assistants in Phoenix include Banner Health, Mayo Clinic, and Terros, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Phoenix's large retired population and rapid growth in the north valley have drawn a wide mix of national home health chains, regional senior living operators, and hospital-affiliated post-acute care programs to the area.
Are there remote care assistant jobs in Phoenix?
Remote roles are rare for care assistants since the work is inherently hands-on and tied to a client or facility. About 34% of care assistant openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those tend to be care coordination, scheduling, or patient-intake roles rather than direct personal care positions.
How can I get a care assistant job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is applying to Phoenix-area home health agencies and assisted living communities that run their own paid training programs, since many will hire and certify candidates on the job. Group homes licensed through the state and large senior living campuses in Peoria and Chandler frequently post entry-level openings. Volunteering with organizations like HonorHealth's community programs or Banner Health's caregiver volunteer initiative can also open a direct path to a paid position.
Which industries hire the most care assistants in Phoenix?
Phoenix care assistant roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Phoenix's status as one of the fastest-growing metro areas for retirees and its large network of hospital systems and post-acute care centers make those sectors the primary engines of local hiring.
