Care Assistant Jobs in Philadelphia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a care assistant job in Philadelphia?
Focus your search on Philadelphia's dense network of home health agencies, long-term care facilities, and hospital systems anchored in West Philadelphia and North Philadelphia. Candidates with a current CPR certification, hands-on clinical hours, or a CNA credential stand out in this market. Applying directly to employer career pages and checking care-focused listings on Migrate Mate gives you the most current Philadelphia openings.
Which companies hire care assistants in Philadelphia?
Companies currently hiring care assistants in Philadelphia include Temple University Health System, Penn Medicine, and Trinity Health, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Philadelphia's hiring base is anchored by large health systems, residential care networks, and independent home health agencies that serve the city's older adult population.
Are there remote care assistant jobs in Philadelphia?
Yes, but only for a narrow slice of the field. Care assistant work is predominantly hands-on and site-based, so remote openings are rare. About 20% of care assistant openings tied to Philadelphia are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, mostly in care coordination, scheduling, or administrative support roles rather than direct patient care.
How can I get a care assistant job in Philadelphia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Philadelphia is through a home health agency that provides paid on-the-job training for new hires. Facilities in North Philadelphia and West Philadelphia regularly hire entry-level candidates into companion or personal care aide roles before advancing them to care assistant positions. Volunteering at a Philadelphia senior center or completing a short nurse aide training program also builds the hands-on hours that local employers look for.
Which industries hire the most care assistants in Philadelphia?
Philadelphia care assistant roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Philadelphia's large aging population, dense network of academic medical centers, and established long-term care infrastructure drive sustained demand across those sectors.
