Chiropractor Jobs in Michigan: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a chiropractor in Michigan?
To become a chiropractor in Michigan, you must earn a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited program and pass all four parts of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners exam. You then apply for licensure through the Michigan Board of Chiropractic, which sits under the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. Michigan does not offer licensure by endorsement for all states, so candidates licensed elsewhere should verify reciprocity directly with the board.
How much do chiropractors make in Michigan?
Chiropractors in Michigan earn a median of about $71,220 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $42,400 for the lowest 10% to over $126,500 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire chiropractors in Michigan?
Employers hiring chiropractors in Michigan right now include The Joint Chiropractic, Grace Health, and Midland Sports Rehab, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Michigan's mix of large integrated health systems like Henry Ford Health and Corewell Health alongside high-volume franchise clinics creates openings at both the associate and senior levels across the state.
Which Michigan cities have the most chiropractor jobs?
Lansing, Livonia, and Midland lead Michigan for chiropractor openings right now. Detroit's size and its dense concentration of health systems, rehabilitation networks, and auto-injury clinics drives the bulk of volume, while Grand Rapids reflects the rapid expansion of Corewell Health and a growing population of outpatient and sports medicine practices in west Michigan.
Are there remote chiropractor jobs in Michigan?
Yes, but they're rare. Chiropractic care is almost entirely hands-on, which makes fully remote positions uncommon by the nature of the work. About 0% of chiropractor openings tied to Michigan are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those roles tend to be in clinical consulting, utilization review, or insurance case management rather than direct patient care.
How can I get hired as a chiropractor in Michigan with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an associate chiropractor role at a high-volume clinic, where new graduates practice under a supervising doctor while building their caseload. Michigan employers such as The Joint Chiropractic and multi-site private practices in the Detroit and Grand Rapids areas regularly post associate positions open to new graduates. Completing a clinic externship at a Michigan facility during your final year and obtaining your Michigan license before graduation both give you a concrete edge over applicants who apply after a delay.
Where can I find and apply to chiropractor jobs in Michigan?
You can find and apply to chiropractor jobs in Michigan on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your license status, specialty, and preferred location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
