As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide essential life-support and respiratory care primarily to critical care patients in the Intensive Care Units. Your expertise in invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures will directly impact patient outcomes, ensuring they receive the highest level of care. What You Will Do
- Deliver life-support, resuscitation, and medical gases therapy to critical care patients.
- Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients.
- Maintain clinical expertise across various business units within HFHS.
- Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and physicians regarding patient care needs.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and completely.
- Supervise, direct, and delegate tasks to respiratory orienteers, externs, and students.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program.
- Associate of Science Degree, minimum.
- Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Current License - Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan (new graduates have 90 days to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy.
- Two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience in a Tertiary Hospital.
