Registered Nurse - Ambulatory My Care Advice Line - Dearborn (Hybrid Opportunity)
Part Time - 20 - 35 hours/week. 4, 6 or 8 hour shifts. Day/Afternoon Shift, hours range between 7am - 11pm. Rotating weekends/holiday.
6 week in-person orientation is required, then based on performance there is an opportunity to working hybrid/remote with the exception of mandatory meetings.
You would be supporting Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics and after hours OB.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 1 year ER or ICU RN experience – Clinical Assessment Skills Preferred (not required)
- Assess patient symptoms and assists with medical issues related to health concerns.
- Uses excellent listening skills to receive detailed information.
- Utilize electronic protocol database to assess, educate and document all health information.
GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate.
Qualifications - External
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in the specialty. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy. Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
