INTRODUCTION
Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to work with adorable pediatric patients in the home setting located in the South Loop 60616 and/or Chatham 60619 neighborhoods of Chicago.
Shifts:
7am-7pm or 7pm-7am shifts available Sunday through Saturday (Open to PRN availability)
Salary:
$40- $50/ per hour

Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- On each assignment, provides skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders.
- Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
- Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or contracted services.
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention and progress toward established goals.
- Intervenes as applicable to changes in condition and reports such changes to appropriate supervisor and/or physician.
- Documents all physician collaboration/coordination of care in the medical record and communicates this information as needed.
- Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment including universal precautions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN will practice.
- Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
- Current BLS card.
- One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Active RN License or Active LPN License.
- Current CPR.
- PPD or chest X ray if applicable.
