Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our construction management team. In this role, you will work closely with senior project managers to assist in planning, organizing, and managing various aspects of heavy highway civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction management, project coordination, and need to have a good foundation utilizing construction management software (CAD, HCSS, Trimble, Microstation).
Duties:
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination of resources.
- Assist in review and updates of CAD and GPS files
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, budgets, and schedules.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project success
- Utilize construction management software for project tracking and reporting
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality of work
- Support procurement activities and vendor/subcontractor management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Proven experience in construction project management
- Proficiency in project management tools such as HCSS HeavyJob, Office, Primavera P6
- Familiarity with CAD/GPS programs (AutoCAD, Trimble, MicroStation)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines consistently
