The firm is licensed in 16 states. The ideal candidate has experience in residential and commercial site design, proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, strong communication and project-management skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions. Candidates should live within commuting distance of our Columbia or Greenville office.
Responsibilities:
- Design and prepare civil engineering plans, specifications, and supporting documents.
- Perform site-development design, including grading, drainage, and utility systems.
- Manage projects from initial concept through construction support.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
- Conduct engineering analyses and prepare clear, technically sound reports.
- Review the work of other team members for quality, consistency, best practices, and compliance with company standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineer license preferred. Candidates with EIT certification who can obtain a PE license within a reasonable period after hire will also be considered.
- Six to 15 years of relevant experience in residential and/or commercial site design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and project-management skills.
- Working knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations, particularly in South Carolina and surrounding states.
