Client Associate Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a client associate job in Chicago?
The most direct path is targeting Chicago's dense concentration of wealth management firms, private banks, and regional broker-dealers in the Loop and River North. Familiarity with portfolio reporting tools and CRM platforms stands out locally. Candidates who understand high-net-worth client service and have exposure to institutional or brokerage back-office operations consistently move faster through Chicago hiring pipelines than generalists.
Which companies hire client associates in Chicago?
Companies currently hiring client associates in Chicago include JPMorganChase, Bank of America, and Northern Trust, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Chicago's hiring is driven by a mix of global financial institutions headquartered downtown, regional advisory boutiques, and asset managers with large operations in the Loop and Streeterville.
Are there remote client associate jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though client associate roles are less remote-friendly than purely analytical positions because of the client-facing nature of the work. About 46% of client associate openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, skewing toward firms where the role focuses on reporting and communications rather than in-person relationship management. Larger institutional employers in the Loop offer the most hybrid arrangements.
How can I get a client associate job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is through operations or service associate roles at regional broker-dealers and bank trust departments, particularly those with training programs in the Loop or Schaumburg. Internships at Chicago-based wealth management firms often convert to full-time client associate positions. A strong grasp of financial account documentation, combined with client service experience from banking or professional services, gives entry-level candidates a practical edge in this market.
Which industries hire the most client associates in Chicago?
The sectors hiring the most client associates in Chicago are Banking & Financial Services, Investment & Asset Management, and Fintech, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Chicago's role as a major financial hub for the Midwest means wealth management and institutional finance consistently drive the largest share of local demand, amplified by the city's concentration of trading firms and insurance groups.
