Client Services Consultant Jobs in North Dakota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client services consultant in North Dakota?
Most client services consultant roles in North Dakota require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, though some employers accept equivalent experience. There is no single state-issued license required for the general role, but consultants working in insurance-adjacent or financial planning capacities may need a North Dakota Department of Insurance producer license or a FINRA-administered Series 6 or 63 registration depending on their specific duties.
Which companies hire client services consultants in North Dakota?
North Dakota client services consultant roles are posted by Eide Bailly, Marsh McLennan Agency, and Choice Insurance, a Vizance Company and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. North Dakota's strong community banking sector, regional insurance carriers, and large healthcare systems like Sanford Health and Essentia Health are among the most consistent sources of client services consultant openings across the state.
Which North Dakota cities have the most client services consultant jobs?
Fargo, Bismarck, and Grand Forks have the most client services consultant openings in North Dakota. Fargo leads because it is home to a dense concentration of regional financial institutions, insurance offices, and healthcare networks, while Bismarck draws postings through state government contractors and energy sector firms, and Grand Forks benefits from the presence of UND-affiliated organizations and regional business services.
Are there remote client services consultant jobs in North Dakota?
Yes, and they are fairly common given the desk-based, relationship-management nature of the role. About 67% of client services consultant openings tied to North Dakota are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on calls, email, and digital account management. Account onboarding and complex client reviews are the tasks most frequently handled in fully remote arrangements across North Dakota employers.
How can I get hired as a client services consultant in North Dakota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a customer service representative or client support associate role at a North Dakota bank, credit union, or insurance office, then moving into a consultant title after proving retention and upsell results. Gate City Bank, Bell Bank, and regional insurance agencies in Fargo and Bismarck regularly hire entry-level client service staff and promote from within. Earning a North Dakota Department of Insurance producer license or completing a FINRA Series 6 registration while in a support role gives candidates a clear edge for the step up.
Where can I find and apply to client services consultant jobs in North Dakota?
