American Federal Banker is actively seeking a self-motivated and relational team player to join our Home Office Information Technology department. This full-time benefited position is an integral part of the IT team and will focus on server infrastructure, backup processes, disaster recovery planning, network security and monitoring, firewall administration, technical support and training.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and reporting of server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Administer bank-wide internet connectivity including firewall configuration, monitoring, patching, and security reporting.
- Manage Endpoint Protection Systems across servers, workstations, and email.
- Administer identity and access management processes including account provisioning, deprovisioning, privileged access management, multi-factor authentication, and periodic access reviews.
- Maintain and test disaster recovery plans for all network infrastructure components.
- Provide and maintain technical documentation for all areas pertinent to the role.
- Research, recommend, and implement networking solutions for business needs.
- Serve as an internal consultant assisting staff with complex technical issues.
- Promote best practices, accountability, and continuous improvement within the IT team.
- Participate in long-term technology planning, budgeting, and infrastructure road mapping initiatives.
- Participate in an afterhours/holiday on call rotation.
- Follow established bank policies and procedures and applicable governmental regulatory laws and regulations.
- Keep pace with current security techniques and technology, being able to adapt to changes as needed.
- Provide advanced technical support for infrastructure, network, and end-user technology issues.
- Monitor, investigate, document, and respond to cybersecurity alerts, incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats.
- Support compliance with FDIC, FFIEC, GLBA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Lead or participate in technology projects including planning, implementation, testing, documentation, and post-project review.
- Assist with business continuity planning, incident response planning, cybersecurity examinations, audits, and regulatory reviews.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years experience in systems, networking, and security.
- Experience with server infrastructure, virtualization required. Hyperconverged experience preferred.
- Experience with LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, firewall technologies, and endpoint protection systems, Checkpoint preferred.
- Strong understanding of server operating systems and backup technologies.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical and business considerations
- Demonstrated leadership potential with the ability to mentor team members, lead technical projects, and contribute to departmental strategic initiatives.
