Entry Level Clinical Applications Specialist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level clinical applications specialist job?
Employers at this level look for candidates with a clinical or life sciences background, familiarity with medical devices or healthcare software, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to end users. A clinical internship, hands-on lab or hospital experience, and product training certifications all strengthen an application. Tailoring your resume to show patient-facing or customer-facing experience gives you a real edge over candidates without it.
Which companies hire entry level clinical applications specialists?

Hiring at this level comes from medical device manufacturers, health technology companies, and diagnostic equipment providers that run structured onboarding and training programs for new team members.
Are there remote entry level clinical applications specialist jobs?
Yes, though many roles in this field require on-site or travel components given the hands-on nature of clinical training. About 21% of entry level clinical applications specialist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with fully remote positions more common in software-based clinical applications than in hardware or device-focused roles.
Are these new grad clinical applications specialist jobs?

A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or clinical rotation work in place of full-time history, or values a portfolio demonstrating product training or customer support skills. If the job description does not require prior commercial experience, it is generally open to new grad applicants.
Which industries hire the most entry level clinical applications specialists?
