Clinical Data Analyst Jobs in Idaho: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical data analyst in Idaho?
Clinical data analyst roles in Idaho do not require a state-issued license, so the path centers on education and credentials. Most employers expect at least a bachelor's degree in health informatics, biostatistics, nursing, or a life science. Earning a Certified Clinical Data Manager credential through the Society for Clinical Data Management strengthens applications considerably. Idaho employers, particularly those affiliated with St. Luke's and St. Alphonsus systems, also value direct experience with electronic data capture platforms gained through internships or entry-level data coordinator roles.
How much do clinical data analysts make in Idaho?
Clinical data analysts in Idaho earn a median of about $89,380 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $63,980 for the lowest 10% to over $169,010 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire clinical data analysts in Idaho?
Idaho clinical data analyst roles are posted by Micron Technology, Simplot Company, and Clearwater Analytics (CWAN) and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Idaho's combination of major regional health systems and federally funded research institutions at Idaho National Laboratory creates a steady hiring base across both clinical and research-oriented analyst positions.
Which Idaho cities have the most clinical data analyst jobs?
Boise, Meridian, and Idaho account for the largest share of clinical data analyst openings in Idaho. Boise drives the most volume as the state's population center, home to the flagship campuses of St. Luke's and St. Alphonsus, while Idaho Falls and Pocatello benefit from proximity to federally affiliated research operations and regional medical centers that support ongoing clinical data needs.
Are there remote clinical data analyst jobs in Idaho?
Yes, and more than most fields. Clinical data analysis is fundamentally a desk-based, software-driven role, making it well suited to remote arrangements. About 30% of clinical data analyst openings tied to Idaho are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broad adoption of distributed teams across health systems and contract research organizations. Data cleaning, coding, and regulatory submission support are the functions most commonly performed fully remote.
How can I get hired as a clinical data analyst in Idaho with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a clinical data coordinator or research coordinator role, which handles source data verification and EDC entry and serves as a direct bridge into analyst work. St. Luke's Health System and St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center both run new-graduate programs within their research and clinical operations departments that place candidates without prior analyst titles. Building a portfolio using publicly available clinical trial datasets and earning the entry-level CCDM credential from the Society for Clinical Data Management gives Idaho applicants a concrete edge over those with only a degree.
Where can I find and apply to clinical data analyst jobs in Idaho?
You can find and apply to clinical data analyst jobs in Idaho on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search the listings, find the roles that match your experience and preferred location, and apply directly through each posting.
