Who's Hiring

Clinician Jobs in Portland: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a clinician job in Portland?
Portland's strongest hiring comes from federally qualified health centers, behavioral health agencies, and integrated health systems anchored in South Waterfront and the Lloyd District. Candidates with experience in trauma-informed care, substance use treatment, or community mental health stand out here. Networking through Oregon Health and Science University affiliates and community health coalitions also opens doors that traditional applications miss in this market.
Which companies hire clinicians in Portland?
Portland clinician roles are posted by Gradient, Legacy Health, and Latino Network and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Portland's hiring mix leans heavily toward nonprofit community health organizations, hospital-affiliated outpatient practices, and county-funded behavioral health programs.
Are there remote clinician jobs in Portland?
Yes, though with limits: hands-on direct-care roles are almost always on-site, while case management, care coordination, and utilization review positions are far more remote-friendly. About 50% of clinician openings tied to Portland are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, skewing toward administrative and telehealth-focused positions. Portland's strong telehealth infrastructure makes hybrid models common for outpatient behavioral health roles.
How can I get a clinician job in Portland with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Portland is through community health worker or behavioral health specialist roles at federally qualified health centers like Central City Concern or Outside In, which routinely hire candidates building clinical hours. Peer support specialist certifications are highly valued locally and serve as a direct bridge into salaried clinician tracks. Volunteer placements with Multnomah County Health Department also convert to paid positions more reliably here than in most U.S. cities.
