We're redefining how robots are deployed. Our platform enables users to simulate, test, and optimize entire robotic systems in parallel. By removing the barriers that have kept advanced robotics out of reach for all but the largest players, we're ushering in a new era of manufacturing—one where mass reshoring is not only viable, but inevitable.
About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to help design, standardize, and operate the cloud infrastructure that powers our distributed robotics simulation and deployment platform. You will own the foundations of our AWS environment across multiple accounts and teams, helping define how services are deployed, secured, and operated at scale. This role focuses on building a consistent, secure, and automated cloud platform that enables engineering teams to ship quickly and safely across a complex multi-tenant SaaS system. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong emphasis on architecture, infrastructure standardization, and deployment systems for distributed cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evolve a multi-account AWS architecture for a distributed SaaS platform
- Define and implement infrastructure standards across teams (networking, IAM, logging, environments, and account structure)
- Build and maintain deployment pipelines for cloud services (CI/CD orchestration, release strategies, rollouts)
- Design hybrid infrastructure patterns spanning AWS and on-prem environments used for CI, simulation, and build workloads
- Develop infrastructure-as-code patterns and reusable modules for consistent service deployment
- Own and improve identity, access control, secrets management, and cross-account security models
- Work closely with engineering teams to define reliable, repeatable service deployment workflows
- Support scalable release strategies (blue/green, canary, staged rollouts)
- Improve observability and operational readiness across cloud services (logging, metrics, tracing)
- Help ensure compliance with SOC 2 / ISO 27001 requirements across cloud infrastructure
- Drive standardization across environments (dev/staging/prod, per-tenant or per-customer deployments)
- Evaluate and introduce platform tooling that improves reliability, security, and developer velocity
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS in production environments
- Experience designing or operating multi-account AWS architectures
- Strong understanding of IAM, networking, and cloud security fundamentals
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines for production systems
- Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, CDK, or equivalent)
- Experience working on distributed systems or multi-service architectures
- Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Go, or similar)
- Experience working with engineering teams to define deployment and release processes
- Familiarity with secure infrastructure practices (secrets, access control, auditing)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS Organizations / account vending / landing zone patterns
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure design
- Experience with Kubernetes or container-based deployment platforms
- Experience with observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, etc.)
- Familiarity with GitLab CI or similar CI/CD systems
- Experience in regulated environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.)
- Strong opinions on infrastructure reliability, scalability, and operational excellence
- Experience building internal developer platforms or platform engineering teams
Location
- Boston, MA (Hybrid, in-office required due to on-prem infrastructure)
Benefits
- Competitive Healthcare Coverage
- Unlimited PTO
