Entry Level Commercial Project Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level commercial project manager job?
Entry level commercial project manager roles look for candidates who can demonstrate basic project coordination skills, even from internships, coursework, or volunteer work. A Project Management Professional certification prep, familiarity with tools like Microsoft Project or Asana, and evidence of organizing a multi-step initiative all give candidates an edge. Employers at this level prioritize potential and organizational ability over years on the job.
Which companies hire entry level commercial project managers?
Companies hiring entry level commercial project managers right now include Elevate Care, UAB Medicine, and NYU Langone Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers general contractors, real estate developers, construction management firms, and large corporations with dedicated project management teams that actively recruit candidates early in their careers.
Are there remote entry level commercial project manager jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles are more common at this level given the hands-on coordination involved. About 5% of entry level commercial project manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates flexible on location will find the widest range of opportunities across the country.

A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or academic project work as qualifying background, and does not require a professional license or prior full-time project management history. A strong portfolio of coordinated projects strengthens any new grad application significantly.
Which industries hire the most entry level commercial project managers?
