Entry Level Data Product Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level data product manager job?
Entry level data product manager roles reward candidates who can show hands-on work over credentials alone. Build a portfolio that demonstrates you can define a problem, analyze data, and communicate a product decision. Coursework projects, capstone work, or internships all count. Familiarity with SQL, basic analytics tools, and product frameworks like user stories gives you a practical edge at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level data product managers?
Companies hiring entry level data product managers right now include Elevate Care, UAB Medicine, and NYU Langone Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including growth-stage startups building out data teams and established technology and financial services firms running structured new-grad programs.
Are there remote entry level data product manager jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles still make up a significant share of the market. About 26% of entry level data product manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, giving candidates flexibility on location without limiting the range of companies they can apply to at this stage.
Are these new grad data product manager jobs?
Yes. The listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior data product manager roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or project work in place of full-time history, or explicitly invites candidates with a strong portfolio. If you are a new grad entering the field, these listings are written for you.
