The Program Supervisor provides leadership for direct care staff in a treatment program for adolescent males. The Direct Care/ Program Staff Supervisor ensures that all policies and procedures are complied with by staff and residents, conducts intake interviews and completes intake paperwork, prepares shift reports and other reports as necessary, provides direct supervision for staff, and ensures adequate staff shifts coverage. In addition, the Direct Care/Program Staff Supervisor will ensure the implementation of recreational activities, conduct group work with residents, monitor the Behavior Management System, and serve as liaison for all external contact during shift.
The Program Supervisor will provide supervision for day and evening shifts on weekdays and weekends. The Direct Care/Program Supervisor will be directly supervised by the Assistant Program Director. Responsibilities include:
- Monitor and ensure staff compliance to all policies, procedures and standards
- Ensure daily housekeeping activities are completed, as appropriate
- Provide regular supervision for individual staff
- Assist in staff hiring procedures and decisions
- Ensure adequate staffing on shifts
- Conduct shift change meetings with outgoing and incoming shifts
- Ensure building security and safety
- Provide coaching and teaching around DBT skills
- Provide supervision and oversight during vocational classes and events
- Reporting verbally and in writing during client meetings regarding DBT proficiency and vocational skills
Requirements
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- Experience working with at risk youth
- Previous supervisory experience
- Registered and insured car required for employment use, as needed
