Entry Level Experienced Project Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level experienced project manager job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for candidates who can demonstrate organizational skills, familiarity with project management tools like Asana or Jira, and the ability to coordinate tasks across a team. A completed internship, a capstone project, or a certification such as CAPM can give you a real edge over candidates with only coursework. Tailoring your resume to highlight ownership of any project, no matter the scale, helps you stand out.
Which companies hire entry level experienced project managers?

A mix of large enterprises, government contractors, and mid-size technology and consulting firms regularly post openings at this level, often as part of rotational or associate program pipelines.
Are there remote entry level experienced project manager jobs?
Yes, though remote availability varies by industry and employer. About 6% of entry level experienced project manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements being particularly common at companies that want new hires to build relationships in person before working independently from home.
Are these new grad experienced project manager jobs?
Yes, the listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles alongside other entry level postings. A new grad-friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience and accepts internships, volunteer coordination work, or a strong portfolio in place of full-time history. Look for language like 'will train', 'associate level', or 'open to recent graduates' as reliable signals.
